The cancellation and refund terms regarding the donations you make to the Yetim Ehli Association are explained below. We recommend that you read these terms carefully before making a donation.
As a rule, a completed donation cannot be reclaimed or cancelled. A donation is a voluntary, unconditional, and unrequited declaration of will. Therefore, the "right of withdrawal" regulated in the Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection does not apply to donations. You cannot request a refund on the grounds of "changing your mind" after completing your donation.
In accordance with the relevant articles of the Turkish Civil Code, it is only possible to revoke a donation in the following exceptional cases:
Falling into Poverty: A donation may be revoked if the donor falls into poverty to such an extent that they cannot provide for their own livelihood after the donation. The burden of proof for this situation lies with the donor.
Gross Ingratitude: A donation may be revoked if the donee commits a serious crime against the donor or their relatives, or severely violates obligations arising from family law towards the donor.
Outside of these cases, the right to revoke a donation cannot be exercised; the determination of the existence of said cases is made through judicial channels.
If an extra payment has been made due to a technical error during the payment process or a double collection, this amount will be refunded. You must forward your refund request to info@yetimehli.org.tr as soon as you notice the issue. After your request is reviewed, the over-collected amount will be refunded to the method used for the original payment. The refund process is completed within a maximum of 10 business days.
If you have set up a monthly or annual automatic payment instruction, you may cancel this instruction at any time. It is sufficient to send us your cancellation request in writing at least 3 business days before the next payment date. A cancellation request made within this period stops the processing of the payment for that period. Requests made after this period will be valid for the following period; the payment for the current period will not be refunded.
If you have donated to a specific project (water well, food package, orphan stipend, etc.), your donation is set aside to be utilized within the scope of that project. A request to redirect the donation to a different project cannot be accepted once the donation is complete. If the project you selected cannot be implemented for any reason, the donation amount will be transferred to another humanitarian aid project of our association with similar characteristics; you will be informed about this change.
In cases where you believe a right to a refund has arisen, you may submit a written application to info@yetimehli.org.tr, stating your name, donation date, donation reference number, and the reason for your request. Our association will evaluate your application within 5 business days and notify you of the result. If the refund is approved, the payment will be transferred back to the original payment method within a maximum of 10 business days.
